Photo Gallery of the Bridges of the Pinellas Beaches

I have culled together one image from each bridge that connects the Pinellas beaches to the mainland and present them in a single page gallery format.  That way, you can view all the bridges of the Pinellas beaches in one concise page here.  Of course you can get more information about a bridge from the main Bridges of the Pinellas Beaches page and clicking on the link to that bridge for more information.

Tierra Verde Bridge

A part of the Pinellas Bayway system, the Tierra Verde Bridge connects the island community of Tierra Verde with Isla Del Sol and provides the only connection to Ft. DeSoto Park.

Pinellas Bayway

Opened in 1962, the Pinellas Bayway provides a connection to St. Petersburg Beach and Pass-A-Grille with Ft. DeSoto (via the Tierra Verde Bridge) and St. Petersburg including an almost seamless connection to Interstate 275's Exit 17.

Corey Causeway

A part of FL 693, the Corey Causeway is three bridges (two only exist today) constructed in the 1930's as well as 1966 and 1975 and connects St. Pete Beach with South Pasadena.

Treasure Island Causeway

Recently reconstructed in 2007, the Treasure Island Causeway was originally a toll bridge built in 1939 and carries Central Avenue (CR 150) connecting Treasure Island with St. Petersburg. The Treasure Island Causeway has a lot of history including a bridge incident that happened in 1972.

Johns Pass

Now under reconstruction, the Johns Pass Bridge was built in the 1930's and relocated in 1971 and carries Gulf Blvd. (FL 699) connecting Treasure Island with Madeira Beach.

Madeira Beach (Tom Stuart Causeway)

Constructed in 1962, the Madeira Beach Causeway replaced a smaller bridge. A part of FL 666, it connects US Alt. 19 in Seminole with Madeira Beach.

Park Blvd. Bridge

The youngest of all Pinellas County drawbridges, the Park Blvd. Bridge was constructed as a toll bridge in 1981 and completed the missing link which is now Park Blvd. (CR 694) and Gandy Blvd. (FL 694) further east. The Park Blvd. Bridge is now a free bridge.

Indian Rocks Bridge

Carrying FL 688 (Walsingham Rd.) across The Narrows, the Indian Rocks Bridge was originally constructed in the 1958 and a second span was built in 1999.

Belleair Bridge

Currently under reconstruction with a new high level bridge on the way, the Belleair Bridge was built in 1950 as a toll drawbridge. The tolls were removed years later.

Sand Key Bridge

Originally a toll drawbridge, the Sand Key Bridge was built in the 1960's and was replaced with a high level bridge in 1994. It connects Clearwater Beach with Sand Key and the beaches to the south.

Clearwater Memorial Causeway

Originally built as drawbridges in the 1920's and 1963 and replaced with a high level bridge in 2005, the Clearwater Memorial Causeway offers a majestic view of Clearwater Beach as well as downtown Clearwater.

Dunedin Causeway

Constructed in 1963, the Dunedin Causeway carries Curlew Road and connects Dunedin with the Honeymoon Island State Park.

Beckett Bridge

Spanning Minetta and Whitcomb Bayou in Tarpon Springs, the Beckett Bridge was originally built in 1924 and reconstructed in 1956 and is Pinellas County's hidden drawbridge secret.
